What we collect

We collect the content you save — text, links, tweets, images, and notes — along with your account information (name, email) and basic usage data (e.g. when you log in, what features you use). We do not collect data beyond what's needed to run the product.

How we use your data

Your data is used to:

  • — Power search, organization, and AI features within your account
  • — Improve our systems and product quality
  • — Potentially train or fine-tune AI models to improve the product — this is done without linking data to your identity

If you'd prefer your content not be used for model training, contact us and we'll opt you out.

Third-party AI

Some features — like semantic search, smart cards, and AI-powered organization — use third-party AI models (such as OpenAI or Anthropic). Content you save may be sent to these providers to process your request. These providers do not store or train on your data per their API terms.

What we don't do

  • — We do not sell your data to anyone
  • — We do not share your memories with other users
  • — We do not share identifiable data with third parties for advertising

A note on sensitive data

We recommend not saving passwords, financial credentials, or highly sensitive personal information. While your data is stored securely, The Memories App is a knowledge and recall tool — not a password manager or secure vault. Use purpose-built tools for sensitive secrets.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored on secure infrastructure. We use encryption in transit and at rest. Access to your memories is scoped to your account only.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and all associated content at any time. Email us at hello@thememoriesapp.com.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if our practices change and will notify users of significant changes by email.
